2017 in Review

How did 2017 fare in terms of painting and gaming? A bit late due to the dreaded lurgy striking the house down over the New Year.

Will start with the painting and the year started with the Analogue Hobbies Painting Challenge VII - the sixth for here. Made the points target set at the start of the challenge and enjoyed the three months worth of painting and blogging.

The rest of the year the motivation for painting ebbed and flowed and the resulting tally of completed figures is:

6mm - 40 figures
15mm - 89 figures and one artillery piece
20mm - 11 vehicles
28mm - 33 figures painted and 10 painted figures rebased.

There are a few from the tale end of 2017 that will be completed early this year and as usual some that carry on to future years, such is the nature of painting miniatures.

Gaming, ah now here is another story, in fact its a very short story too. Not very much of anything really. A few beginners games of Chain of Command, the odd game of SAGA and maybe some Dragon Rampant early in the year; possibly some Basic Impetus but other than that nothing that jumps out as significant.

Lots of talk of games and campaigns but nothing actually starting and moving forward. There is always this year...

On the blog front there was an increase in the number of posts up to 57 for the year, so just over one a week. Looking to increase on this and possibly add in a new theme this year, but more on that later.

Thanks for continuing to read and comment.

Cheers for now.
